The Insulation Contractors Association of New York (ICA) is more than just a professional organization — it’s a hub for connection, collaboration, and advancement within the insulation industry. As we look ahead to 2025–2026, our members will have a full calendar of opportunities to learn, grow, and engage through our partnerships with leading industry associations.
Here’s a preview of what’s on the horizon and how you can make the most of your ICA membership in the year ahead.
National Insulation Association (NIA) — Safety Excellence Awards
The National Insulation Association® (NIA) has been the voice of the commercial and industrial insulation industry since 1953, representing both merit (open shop) and union contractors, as well as distributors, laminators, fabricators, and manufacturers.
One of NIA’s most prestigious recognitions is the Safety Excellence Award™ — the ultimate honor for outstanding safety performance. Open only to NIA members, this award evaluates companies on their safety programs, policies, and communication methods. Winners are recognized at four levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.
Not only is this award a mark of distinction, but every applicant also receives a Safety Training Analysis Results (STAR) Report to help strengthen their safety programs. If safety is part of your company’s DNA, consider applying among the best in the industry. Previous winners include Atlantic Contracting & Specialties (Platinum) and International Asbestos Removal (Silver). Deadline to apply for 2025 is September 12, 2025.

Eastern States Insulation Contractors Association (ESICA) — Fall & Spring Conferences
ICA members have the opportunity to connect with peers through ESICA’s biannual conferences. These events are packed with industry updates, technical sessions, and networking opportunities with fellow contractors and suppliers from across the Eastern U.S.
This fall’s conference takes place at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island and includes:

ICA Destination Meeting
Every Fall, ICA members escape to a tropical destination for our annual Destination Membership Meeting. This event is designed to foster meaningful connections between members while providing a relaxed environment to share ideas, discuss industry updates, and enjoy a change of scenery.

Building Trades Employers’ Association (BTEA) Awards
The BTEA recognizes excellence across New York’s building trades at their Leadership Awards every November. While details for the 2025 awards are still to come, ICA members will have opportunities to participate, nominate peers, and celebrate industry achievements.
The 2025 BTEA Leadership Gala will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
National Union Insulation Contractors Alliance (NUICA) Annual Conference
The NUICA Annual General Conference brings together insulation contractors from across the nation to address industry challenges, share solutions, and strengthen relationships.
The 2025 conference took place in Nashville, featuring keynote sessions, networking opportunities, and even a night at a Nashville Predators hockey game.

Golf Outings
Sometimes the best business happens on the golf course. Local 12 and STA Golf Outings give members the chance to network, build relationships, and enjoy a day outdoors. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just along for the camaraderie, these events are a fun way to connect with other industry professionals.
Golf outings take place in the Summer, and 2026 dates will be announced next year.
