ICA is Practical. Meet David Rivera, Insulator for IAR
ICA is PRACTICAL.
Safety is a huge part of any project for International Asbestos Removal (IAR) and the Insulation Contractors Association of New York. That’s why David Rivera says they have many steps in place to make sure everyone can leave a job site safely at the end of the day.
All new employees are fitted with their own PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) that includes a hard hat, vest, and safety glasses.
At every job site, David and the safety director work to create a MOP (Method of Procedure) that lays out the job step-by-step to make sure all workers know the safety plan.
One of the reasons David loves his job is that he gets to see apprentices grow in their careers.
“Every day they learn something and get better from the first day they start working,” he says. “Then they become mechanics and sometimes they become my foremen.”
Watch David’s full interview to learn more about his role and how IAR is proud to be a longstanding member of The ICA of New York.
