Insights and Connections: ESICA / CSIA Fall Conference 2025 Recap

Members of the ICA of New York were proud to attend the 2025 Eastern States Insulation Contractors Association (ESICA) / Council of Specialty Insulation Associates (CSIA) Fall Conference, connecting with peers and industry leaders from across the East Coast. The event offered valuable insights, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn about the latest trends in the mechanical insulation industry.

ICA members joined contractors, associates, and suppliers for the annual ESICA/CSIA Fall Conference—held at the stunning Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, Florida. The three-day event, from September 3–5, brought together professionals from across the industry for a mix of education, networking, and collaboration.

ICA member companies that attended this year were: Alkegen, Armacell, Atlantech, Atlantic Contracting and Specialties, Distribution International, General Insulation, Homans Associates, International Asbestos Removal,  Johns Manville, Knauf, and Owens Corning.

A Warm Welcome

The conference kicked off Wednesday afternoon with check-in and Board Meetings for both ESICA and CSIA members, followed by a lively cocktail reception that set the tone for a productive and engaging few days ahead.

Thursday Highlights

Thursday began bright and early with breakfast and opening remarks, including an update from the National Insulation Association (NIA) delivered by NIA President Rick Sutphin. His remarks set an optimistic tone for the conference, emphasizing the continued strength, innovation, and collaboration within the mechanical insulation industry.

The day’s keynote presentation, delivered by Michael Feuz, offered a deep dive into “What the Leading Indicators Are Saying About 2026,” exploring economic and market trends shaping the future of the industry.

Attendees participated in breakout sessions designed to tackle current challenges and opportunities across the mechanical insulation field. The Associate & Contractor Joint Session, moderated by ICA Vice President Chris Grando, focused on fiberglass supply chain strategies and solutions—an important topic for everyone in the room.

The afternoon golf tournament gave members the chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the Florida sunshine, and the evening concluded with a group dinner that celebrated our sponsors and industry community.

Friday Takeaways

Friday wrapped up with concurrent Contractor and Associate Breakout Sessions, followed by the ESICA and CSIA Board Recaps and a joint session to close the event. One highlight of the conference was the Leadership Development Roundtable, where participants shared perspectives on how the next generation can continue to strengthen the mechanical insulation industry through innovation and collaboration.

Honoring John and Lucy Delillo

The conference also celebrated the remarkable career of John Delillo, Sr., who retired after 23 years of dedicated service as ESICA’s Executive Director. His leadership, guidance, and commitment to the mechanical insulation industry have left a lasting impact, and attendees took a moment to recognize and thank the DeLillos for their many contributions.

Giving Back

In addition to education and networking, the Annual Fall Conference Fundraiser once again made a meaningful impact, with all proceeds benefiting Fox Chase Cancer Center.

Looking Ahead

The insights shared and connections made in Amelia Island continue to move our industry forward.

For ICA of New York members, attending the ESICA/CSIA Fall Conference is a valuable educational opportunity to learn, network, and bring back insights to their teams.

We look forward to gathering again next year as we continue to strengthen our community and the future of the insulation industry.
